Jimmy, 78yrs old. Been practicing yoga for 4 years.
What inspire you to try yoga?
I suffered the painful excoriation caused by Sciatica for 2 years. Only my daughter can understand my problem during the Bangkok tour in 2016. Back then she was taking yoga lessons and she strongly recommend me to try yoga to stop my pain. I follow her suggestion and started my yoga practice. Slowly my spinal cord alignment is rectified gradually.
What is the most positive change you notice after you started your yoga practice?
I can now walk long distance without any difficulties. I recently join a morning walk group now I can manage to walk 10 thousand steps or more in every session.
What is your favorite pose and why?
I would recommend Sun Salutation for the beginners. As it is not only helping us to build up the muscles but also lengthen the ligament of the limbs. Therefore we would not get tired easily.
What is the most difficult part about your practice?
I think the feeling of tiredness would stop the momentum of practice. People tends to avoid doing something beyond their capacity.
What advice would you give to others?
Health is based on excercises, so carry on practising yoga is the best prevention of diseases from occurrence.
